It is located 165 km from sambalpur. The place has a temple on the slope of the beautiful Gandhamardan hills; on its opposite side, is the temple of Nrusinghanath. The plateau between the two temples is strewn with ancient Buddhist ruins, which are considered to be the remnats of the ancient University Parimalgiri. A treasure-trove of india’s pluralistic hetitage indeed.
